Coaching

Coaching

Coaching is an area that has exploded globally in organisations over the past 10 years and it’s not just a fad or a trend. There is a real demand for leaders to be their best in their VUCA environments (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) They are being asked to do more with less at a fast pace, in a climate of distraction and technology. This means more pressure, more stress and more survival behaviours at work.

The coaching experience that Alison provides supports leaders to look after their wellbeing in this VUCA climate, enabling them to plan to be their absolute best. Regularly setting and reviewing goals, talking through business challenges, reflecting on relationships and understanding teams all helps leaders to focus on what is important and stay strong and resilient and thrive.

Solutions

Alison’s coaching service ranges from providing coaching sessions for entire leadership teams within a development programme to providing one off individual sessions with leaders in need.

Coaching generally follows the GROW model and often involves some self assessment to raise awareness – either through the MBTI, the EIP and/or 360 feedback from others.

Alison’s clients consistently feedback that her strength is in building trust quickly with coachees. She is adept at helping individuals become more aware of their thoughts, feelings and behaviours and how they impact performance.

Purpose, timing and duration of coaching are all agreed at the outset so Alison, managers, HR and individuals are united and clear on the plan. That said, Alison likes to stay in close contact with all stakeholders and to remain flexible as the coaching journey evolves.

Contact
“I have found that Alison assists to simplify issues, and coaches appropriately for the main priorities at that time. She is flexible and has great empathy; smoothly “switching gear” as appropriate, during a coaching session. She is very easy to trust, and coaching sessions are accordingly all the more valuable.  I had not previously realised just how much I and my work would benefit from the new resources she taught me. In my large work place these included improved understanding of different personality types, how individuals work best, training in how to have difficult conversations, day to day work leadership and future planning.”

"Alison has worked with a number of the leaders in our business over the last few years and I would highly recommend her services. She is a very effective business coach and has a unique set of skills which allows her to assist her clients in thinking broadly. She is also confident to encourage personal and business growth in her clients, to challenge them in their thinking, and to give them the skills and confidence to develop in ways they may not think possible."
